Holidays and Remembering Loved Ones

This time of the year is especially hard for me, with both of my parents passing away at the beginning of

the Holiday Season and then my Father in Law passing away in it as well.

But I recently watched a show and there was one line that was said that hit home and made me stop

and think about things.

By Celebrating the Holidays you are celebrating the loved ones that you lost who loved those Holidays.

My Father in Law loved Thanksgiving, I remember the first Thanksgiving with him it was so amazing.

Not only did my new husband pull out all the stops for Thanksgiving, so did my Father in Law,

November 2008 I had my first combined Family Thanksgiving Dinner with not only my husband and his father, and Brother, but my parents, sisters, and brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews and my children were there. IT was an amazing day loaded with lots of Love and jokes and lots of memories made.

And Christmas well my mom loved Christmas (an inside joke with my sisters but so did our dad,) he always tried to be Scrooge you know the Bah Humbug, but his eyes sure did smile when he saw all of us open up the gifts that they got us. And he always had a way of making sure my mom had a gift even when they had decided they were not going to be getting each other anything.

My mom has been gone for 7 years and come this upcoming Friday it will be 5 years for my dad.

I think me watching the show I watched today and hearing that line, Celebrating any day is Celebrating their life and memory.

So this year I am going to Celebrate Thanksgiving even if it is just me and my husband and our son at my home.

And I am going to decorate the house for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, I am going to celebrate my beautiful Mother ( by the way she was my rock) the first man who showed me what it was like to be loved unconditionally ( my poppa) and my father in law who showed me it was okay to have 2 dads. So in their memories, I am going to start remembering and restart Celebrating the Holidays that they loved. Unfortunately, I don't have any pictures of that amazing Thanksgiving on this computer to share, The ones I have posted are ones of my momma and the other is a picture of my family from a very long time ago.

Maybe I will go treasure hunting and find some amazing photography of memories so I can share them with you. And celebrate those memories
